    Nurse Anesthesia (CRNA) and Doctor of Nursing Practice Students apply using NursingCAS. There is an $80 fee to submit the NursingCAS application. Nurse Anesthesia applicants also submit an additional $35 application fee to Mount Marty.

    Nursing Program Accreditation

    The master’s degree program in nursing and the post-graduate APRN certificate program at Mount Marty University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, 655 K Street NW, Suite 750, Washington, DC 20001, 202-887-6791.


    MSN & post-grad nursing certificate, DNP, and DNAP admission requirements:

    MSN & Post-graduate nursing certificate (fall 2024 application deadline: August 15):
    • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (official transcripts from colleges where you received a bachelor's degree or higher or from which you have received graduate credit)
    • Successful completion of an undergraduate statistics course
    • Current licensure as an RN with at least one year (two years preferred) of professional RN practice
    • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
    • Three letters of recommendation
    • Current resume
    • Personal essay
    • Criminal background check
    • An interview will be conducted as part of the admission process
    Bachelor's to DNAP:
    • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or other appropriate degree. 
    • Graduation from an accredited (ACEN or CCNE) nursing program. 
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 
    • Completion of one chemistry course and one course in statistics or epidemiology. 
    • Current licensure as a registered nurse. 
    • Minimum of one year (two years preferred), full-time experience as a registered nurse in a critical care setting where the applicant has had the opportunities to: 
      • Develop independent decision-making skills. 
      • Demonstrate psychomotor skills. 
      • Use and interpret advanced monitoring techniques based on knowledge of physiological and pharmacological principles. 
    • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications valid through   the end of the third academic semester are required, if admitted to the program 
    • Personal interview with program faculty (by invitation after application screening). 
    • Completion of health questionnaire, physical exam and immunization record (required prior to program start).
    Master's to DNAP:
    • Master’s degree in nursing or other appropriate master’s degree that provided the ability for the graduate to obtain certification and/or licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
    • Graduation from an accredited (COA) nurse anesthesia program.
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Current licensure as a registered nurse and current certification as registered nurse anesthetist.
    • Personal interview with program faculty (by invitation after application screening).
    • Completion of health questionnaire, physical exam and immunization record (required prior to program start).
    DNP:
    • Earned master’s degree in nursing from:
      • A program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
      • A graduate nurse anesthesia degree from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
      • BSN prepared nurses with a Master’s degree in a non-nursing business- or health-related field will be considered for acceptance upon review by the program director.
    • Cumulative grade point average (GPA) from master’s level nursing courses of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
    • Completed criminal background check.
    • Documentation of the following on the official transcript:
      • Nursing Research or Evidence Based Practice course
      • The ‘3-P’s’ (Advanced Health Assessment, Advanced Pharmacology, Advanced Pathophysiology)
      • Graduate Statistics

    MEd and Trauma Informed Teaching Students: In addition to submitting the application for admission, we require the following documents to complete your admission file:
     

    Master's in Education: Curriculum Instruction
    1. Official transcripts from all institutions where you attempted college credit 
    2. Professional Statement of Purpose (submit in the application)
    3. Three reference letters: two from professional peers with knowledge of your teaching ability and potential for success and one from your supervisor, director, or manager with knowledge of your teaching ability 

    Master's in Education: Coaching Leadership

    1. Official transcripts from all institutions where you attempted college credit 
    2. Professional Statement of Purpose (submit in the application)
    3. Three reference letters: one from a professor or instructor; one from somebody who has coached you on an athletic team; and one from your supervisor, director, or manager
    Trauma Informed Teaching and Social Emotional Learning Certificates
    1. Official transcripts from all institutions where you attempted college credit 
    2. Professional Statement of Purpose (submit in the application)
    3. One professional reference
    International applicants applying from outside the United States will submit the following items in addition to the requirements for graduate applicants
    1. TOEFL, Duolingo, or IELTS if English is not your native language or if you have not studied in an English-speaking academic system
    2. Copy of your passport photo page, which you must upload in the application
