Master of science in nursing & post-graduate nursing certificate, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice admission requirements:
Master of science in nursing & post-graduate nursing certificate (fall 2025 application deadline: August 15):
Master of science in nursing & post-graduate nursing certificate (fall 2025 application deadline: August 15):
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited program
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (official transcripts from colleges where you received a bachelor's degree or higher or from which you have received graduate credit)
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with at least one year (two years preferred) of professional registered nursing practice
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.
- Three letters of recommendation
- Current resume
- Personal essay
- Criminal background check
- An interview will be conducted as part of the admission process
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited program
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Completion of one chemistry course and one course in epidemiology.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse.

Minimum of one year (two years preferred), full-time experience as a registered nurse in a critical care setting where the applicant has had the opportunities to:
- Develop independent decision-making skills.
- Demonstrate psychomotor skills.
- Use and interpret advanced monitoring techniques based on knowledge of physiological and pharmacological principles.
- Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications valid through the end of the third academic semester are required, if admitted to the program
- Personal interview with program faculty (by invitation after application screening).
- Completion of health questionnaire, physical exam and immunization record (required prior to program start).
- Master’s degree in nursing or other appropriate master’s degree that provided the ability for the graduate to obtain certification and/or licensure as a certified registered nurse anesthetist.
- Graduation from an accredited (COA) nurse anesthesia program.
- Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse and current certification as registered nurse anesthetist.
- Personal interview with program faculty (by invitation after application screening).
- Completion of health questionnaire, physical exam and immunization record (required prior to program start).

Earned master’s degree in nursing from:
- A program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
- A graduate nurse anesthesia degree from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
- Bachelor of science in nursing prepared nurses with a master’s degree in a non-nursing business- or health-related field will be considered for acceptance upon review by the program director.
- Cumulative grade point average from master’s level nursing courses of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Completed criminal background check.
