Avera Nursing Advantage

The Avera Nursing Advantage is an incredible opportunity for students looking to major in nursing at Mount Marty University. Students who receive the Advantage will receive funding of $15,000 per year for two years ($30,000 total) beginning in the student's junior year and job opportunities at Avera Health as a registered nurse upon receiving a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

To be selected, students apply to the Avera Nursing Advantage program their sophomore year of college. Representatives from both Mount Marty and Avera Health will select Avera Nursing Advantage recipients. Students must complete three years of employment as a nurse at an Avera Health facility or they will have to repay the $30,000 in its entirety. The Avera Health system has locations in South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and North Dakota.
