    What's in the name?

St. Scholastica, twin sister of St. Benedict, is the patron saint of Benedictine nuns and of education. As Mount Marty University is a Catholic, Benedictine institution founded by the Yankton Benedictine sisters, both Scholastica and Benedict are significant figures on our campus and in our community.
