Choir Auditions

Auditioning for a spot in the Mount Marty University Choir

We look forward to your audition! To have a successful audition, please prepare two pieces of contrasting style. The audition is 15 minutes long. If you are unable to attend in-person, you can record your audition and send it to us by following the prompts below.

Auditions are open to anyone considering attending the University as a full-time undergraduate student in 2024, 2025, or 2026.
Scholarships are awarded at the discretion of the program director and can range from $2,000 to $6,000 per year. Choir scholarships are in addition to merit scholarships.

About the University Choir program

Dr. Tyler Thress leads the University's music program and oversees the Chamber Choir and Choral Union ensembles. Additionally, choir students are expected to participate in the University's trademark Christmas Vespers Concert, performed in early December and recorded on South Dakota Public Broadcasting.
