Art & Creative Writing Portfolio Submission

    Mount Marty University proudly boasts both Art and Creative Writing programs on our main Yankton campus. Campus is home to the always-active Bede Art Gallery, which will feature seven different installments throughout the 2022-2023 academic year. This includes two student art shows - one in the fall, and on in the spring - one Faculty exhibition, and four exhibitions featuring local artists. Each installment includes one reception and gallery talk. Art is a thriving and critical part of Mount Marty University.

    Students and faculty spend the year writing and compiling Paddlefish, the student literary and art journal of Mount Marty University. The 21-22 version featured 26 students showcasing their writing and included several pages of artwork from the Bede Art Gallery student exhibits.

    Submit your art and/or creative writing today to be considered for scholarship at Mount Marty University. If you are offered a scholarship, you are expected to contribute during your time at the University. Creativity is part of what makes Mount Marty a vibrant academic and social hub of Yankton and South Dakota. We would love for you to join us!

    Portfolio Submission Requirements:
    • Art: Please upload between 5-10 different original pieces of artwork. You can upload them in the same file or one at a time.
    • Creative Writing: Please upload a sample of your work, which should be no more than 15 double-spaced pages. Please specify the genre(s) of your work on the document. You can include multiple genres.
