    Our endocrinology post-master's certificate is one of two programs of its kind in the country and is ideal for existing nurse practitioners would want to provide endocrine care in rural settings.

    Dr. Suzanne England grew up on a farm in southeast Indiana. She graduated with her BSN from the University of Evansville in Indiana. Upon graduation, she moved to New Mexico and began working for the Indian Health Service as a labor and delivery nurse. Next she attended the University of New Mexico and obtained a master of science in nursing and post-master's as a nurse-midwife and family nurse practitioner. Suzanne then worked in a rural hospital/clinic in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. After a couple of years, she took a position again with the Indian Health Service as a primary care provider in South Dakota. In 2011, she completed her doctor of nursing practice and obtained certification as a child-family psychiatric nurse practitioner. In 2020, Suzanne served on the Surgeon General’s Advisory Boards on Child Dental Health  and Maternal/Infant Mortality Review. Suzanne has been responsible for Indian Health Service staff education and programming in maternal child health since 2015 and joined Mount Marty as adjunct faculty in 2021.
