Individual Campus Visits

    We look forward to welcoming you to South Dakota's Catholic University in this individual campus visit format! You will be able to tour our beautiful Yankton campus, meet with an enrollment counselor and connect with faculty. You can also take this opportunity to sit in on a class, enjoy lunch on campus, or attend daily Mass with the sisters of Sacred Heart Monastery. Start times are 10am, 12pm or 2pm Monday-Friday.

    Vespers: Behind the Scenes, Saturday, December 9 at 12:30pm

    Experience the sounds of the Christmas season at Mount Marty. Vespers include scripture reading and prayer in addition to hymns and carols. Performances are held at 4pm and 7pm at Bishop Marty Memorial Chapel with a special Behind the Scenes reception hosted by Mount Marty’s Gregorian Fine Arts Association between shows..     Band Concert Open House/Open Chair, Sunday, December 10 at 7:00pm

    Enjoy our Winter Band Concert and reception with the vibrant Fine Arts community at Mount Marty. You also have the opportunity to immerse yourself further by becoming part of the performance. Director Todd Carr is inviting prospective students to join the band and will provide you with sheet music and further direction before the event. Register here.


    Scholarship Programs

    Seton Education Scholars

    The Seton Education Scholars Program - named for Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, patron saint of Catholic schools - is a unique opportunity for incoming first year or transfer education students. It provides $40,000 over four years in scholarships to students committed to working as educators at Catholic schools upon completion of their degree. This scholarship is renewable so long as students continue to progress toward a degree in elementary or secondary education and meet scholarship requirements.     Avera Scholars

    The Avera Scholars Program invites high school seniors planning to major in nursing at Mount Marty University to apply for $20,000 in funding for the third and fourth years of schooling (a total of $40,000). This education loan program offers a unique opportunity for nursing students to gain experience through a work commitment with Avera. Once they work as nurses for three years at an Avera facility after graduating from Mount Marty University, the loans will be forgiven. These nursing students will also get first-hand experience in health care by working at least eight hours a week in a paid employment role at Avera during their time at the University.     St. Scholastica Scholarship Interviews January 22-26, 2024

    Join us in person or virtually to to interview with Mount Marty faculty for renewable scholarships in the amounts of $1,000, $2,000, and $3,000 per year. To qualify you must have a 3.0 cumulative unweighted high school or transfer GPA and have submitted your application for admission to Mount Marty University. Interviews last approximately 25 minutes. Interviews will be held January 22-26. Register here.

    Mission Scholar Scholarship Interviews, February 9

    Become a part of Mount Marty University's fall 2024 class of Mission Scholars. Mission Scholars pray together, volunteer together, and work together as students to lead efforts to create a campus in the image of Christ. Importantly, Mission Scholars can come from any faith background.
    Mission Scholars earn scholarships and are expected to participate in daily prayer, service programs, and various other events throughout the year. If you want to grow in your Faith during your time in college, submit your application for admission and interview either in-person or virtually on Thursday, February 9. Register here.

    Fine Arts Portfolio & Auditions

    Mount Marty University boasts vibrant fine arts programs in Theatre, Creative Writing, Choir, Art, and Band. Register for the any of our Fine Arts events where you can audition for Theatre, Band, or Choir.

    Good Father Augustus Tolton Scholarship

    Named for the first U.S. Roman Catholic priest publicly known to be black, the Venerable Father Augustus Tolton, this $4,000 renewable scholarship is for students who are committed to using the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in ways that support Mount Marty University’s core values and Catholic Benedictine mission.
