I can only see myself at the moment for the participants. I can't see anyone else there.
OK. Hi, everyone. If you're on, why don't you check there's Justin and Matthias.

Hi Matthias. See you chatted there, so all of our coach, you could see their chats in the corner there.
Justin McClurg
04:30:38 PM
I have Carlos and Jubril with me aswell
Yeah, I can see them now.
And looks like Carlos and Gabriel are with Justin. So you got all four there.
Alright, I'm going to bounce out of here and I'll go check in on football real quick, OK? Thanks.
Sounds good as gold mate. Cheers.
Alright guys. So I believe everyone's here, um, obviously just gonna go through a little presentation about the program, about myself, about you know, our facilities, etc. If you have any questions, please feel free to, to ask them. I'll get through them as quick as I can and then at the end obviously there'll be more time for questions, stuff like that. All right?
So we'll get started. Um, so obviously. So myself. Uh, I'm head coach all the tillerman. I'm originally from Christchurch, New Zealand.
In Christchurch, I achieved a Bachelor of Sports Coaching majoring in performance analysis. So watching film, analyzing it, using it to help Coach team show patterns, etc. And then in 2019 I came to America to do the Masters of Education coaching leadership here at Mount Marty. So I was at GA for the program here. So this is my eighth year of coaching soccer. I coached basically a year out of high school, and then I've just been.
Continuing on just because I was a better coach than a player, basically. But so I was hired as the Mount Marty Hitman soccer coach in April 2022. So right at the end of spring season, I was GA for for for two years and then assistant coach for a year.
Uh, so we also have an assistant coach, Eliel Trejo. He goes by E he's originally from California, he's been coaching for six years, has a Bachelor of Sociology, Minor in criminal justice. He played that played at Mount San Antonio College for two years. While he was there, they did win the the Natty, they won the national championship, but he was not able to play because of grades. And then after that he transferred to Kansas Wesleyan University where they won the the KCC Conference.
Uh tournament. He was hired in uh around February of 2022, but he also works with the women's team as well.
So a little bit of highlights in history for us. So we made the playoffs in 2019-2020 we won and 2022, 2019 was the first time in school history. Those are our records. The last few years that 2021 was a bit rough for us was that COVID season where everyone's you know, we're quarantining, we've got players out for certain games. It was it was a tough season for us and I'm I'm sure you guys, for those of you that were were playing in that year it would have been about the same.
Obviously, 2022 is a really good season for us, uh. So this year we broke the record for most wins, most goals scored, best start to a season. We were ranked 8th in the country with a .610 shot on goal percentage. There's a first time in school history with more wins than losses in the regular season. And then when we went to playoffs, we played Hastings, we went to double overtime and and we lost one nil would. It was it was a good game for us. You know, our goal.
But they yeah, we we frustrated them to hell and back. They were yelling at each other. Their coach was getting ****** on the sideline. It it was fun because they were getting wound up, but obviously minutes ago they put it away. I've offered deflection off a set piece, so.
Yeah, we felt like we had them in penalties just because they were so riled up.
Uh, so contact information if you need us. Uh, I know I've emailed all of you my numbers on there as well. I have WhatsApp and just text if you guys have American numbers or can, you know, iMessage. And then there's the contact information for Coach E.
And I can put those in a little bit later as well if you need.
Please, if you have any questions, please just put it in the chat. Um happy to to slow it down and and talk about anything. So facilities wise. So we've got a field, we've got a Fieldhouse, the athletic training room in there, the weight room in there and then the the weight room by the basketball court. So crane, youngworth. Yeah you guys played us this season so you were able to play here at at Crane. It's where we practice very nice. I mean we have the lights.
We get to use it. We normally practicing 7 to 930 at night or 7:30 to 9:30 at night. Sorry. So being able to practice where we play is really important. And I mean as you guys knew, it's a narrow field, so it kind of gives us that home field advantage. So it's about a 5 minute drive from campus, use of all games and practices. We've got the lights and then obviously practice times.
We don't really change from those practice times purely because the high school marching band or on there early in the morning and then for me it was just easier to do it later on at night because the girls all normally practice before us.
So this is a so in 2019 I believe or 2020 we built a $15 million Fieldhouse. This is what it looks like inside the the shell part. So there's two basketball courts in there, the the 200 meter track and it's about a 50 yard turf.
And then the the curtains that you see around the top, around the outside, they've come down. So you're able to close off that kind of inner Oval part.
Uh and there we've also got the athletic training room. We've got, uh, the hydro pools they see on the right there, the hot cold. There's a bunch of equipment in there, the bikes, the stem, the ice, anything you could ever need.
Just couple more pictures, just opens it up a little bit more.
Currently we've got 2 trainers and then a few student helpers.
And then also within the field house, we've got the weight room. So this is technically it's run by great life, which is kind of like a 24 hour fitness, those kind of things. So that does have some access to the public, but we as students, we have access to this gym from 4:00 AM to 11:00 PM. So a little boys will come in here and their own time, do lifting, go on the treadmills, it's all brand new equipment. So it's, it's very good. So yeah, the building 2020.
Eight line, 2 bus will courts. We also have two full-sized goals and four football goals. So a lot of time we'll use those will either play a V8 in the Fieldhouse or sometimes we'll bring it down, you know 4V4 and then also the boys have access to it so.
They'll head down there, use the goals, take a couple goalies down there and and shoot. Another thing that's really good is, is they're able to go at 10:00 o'clock at night, just get on the turf. I'll be down there sometimes just going to the gym over there and you know, I'll see the boys juggling, just playing around, doing Rondo, just getting in touch, especially with the weather outside of the moment. You know, we just had that big snowfall last night.
You know they're able to get inside touchable on turf without any issues, so the great Life gym opened 4 to 11.
And then for the spring season, so this spring season, we're going to start on the turf in a week and 1/2. So I think Wednesday and two weeks or so, we're going to be on the turf practicing for spring. We're not going to be using basketball courts. We're going to be lifting as well.
Uh, so this is the simple weight room. So this is the one that we use as athletes. So no, no outside, no normal students. It's only athletes. So when we lift as a team, this is where we'll go primarily.
It's also used in the exercise science program, et cetera. So we use this to lift.
So here at mamati we have the exercise science course, which I know a couple of you are in currently. So Professor flashy, he's our coach and he runs the program here. He's really good. He's getting his doctorate in strength and conditioning. He works with us a lot. And then we also have two grad assistants that work with us as well. At the moment, in the spring, we lift three times a week, so Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.
Ohh sorry, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and then we'll lift 2 * a week in the fall, which I think this past season was Monday, Monday, Thursday.
So with the strength and conditioning, Professor Flaherty, he focuses on us, on on our soccer, soccer players rather than just going to the gym, getting big arms, you know that gym rat type thing. He really focuses on using research to help us to be better.
It's really good and we've seen a lot of progression from where we were two years ago before we brought him on. We've gotten a lot stronger and more consistent with with battling in the GPAC because as you know, it's, it's pretty physical in there.
Uh, just a couple photos from the season. Uh, we've been on a there's a lake nearby. When did BBQ and pre season just couple photos? We normally take a photo of the winning team and in practice and put it on the Instagram.
It's on the list. You can see the goals that we have. We were just playing in there and then that's dining hall on the right. We did a big team meal on, I think it was Deb on the day of the game. Just got him all together, ate together, everything like that.
So do you guys have any questions that have come up or anything that you guys aren't sure about at the moment? I know that in the e-mail talked about how Mount Marty is going to equal your scholarship package as long as it doesn't go above our full tuition.
Yeah, I believe within the GPAC you guys wouldn't lose a season, you'd be able to play theoretically in the full.
Do you guys have any questions?
Ohh, I know it's a couple extra science majors so they access science. Uh, we've got a lab here.

04:42:01 PM
no coach, i'm okay.
Justin McClurg
04:42:20 PM
What is the process to play in the Fall? eligibility?
They work, they work with teams. One of our players is he's working with us at the moment kind of using us and I believe woman's basketball as an internship, you know, working with us in the gym, so that programs for us, etcetera. And then the business, I know a couple of you guys are business, Edmund, so 2/3 of the team.
Uh, business admin players. So basically we're either business or exercise science guys.
And then the process to play in the full eligibility, eligibility wise it shouldn't be an issue. You should just still follow the same NAIA guidelines. So if you have that two point O and have taken all the credits that you can, you won't have to wait a year. You I believe from what my athletic director said you're good to go as if you were transferring from a different school outside the GPAC.
Justin McClurg
04:43:03 PM
Thank you
And then I know that, uh, we are willing to waive the on campus as well, so you guys would be able to live off campus if needed. I know that there can be a big cost differential, especially for internationals. Living on campus can be sometimes expensive and sometimes living off can be a lot cheaper, especially, you know, when you're splitting it between 2-3 people.
Do you guys have any other questions?
Justin McClurg
04:43:52 PM
One moment
So a little bit just while you guys are working out question stuff, business, business admin course here. We've got a lot of players in it like I talked about before, but one of the players is the President of the club here, one of the players is the.
The treasurer for the club, and we get a lot of, they get a lot of jobs or access to those internships in their final year. We've got one guy working at the bank, one guy working at an engineering company, but as an accountant for them. So the professors here have really good connections with the community. I'm sure it's the same up in Aberdeen, like very close South Dakota kind of place.
So the connections are here to get those internships.
So do you guys have any questions for me or questions about program about the other players?
Transferring credits etc.
Justin McClurg
04:46:12 PM
one of my scholarship is part of housing would that also transfer over
I'm not sure about the scholarship paying for housing. I'll have to double check that with our with like the enrollment people here.
But they said that they'll try to match everything. So we we don't do like we don't do scholarships for housing, but because of the situation it might come over.
I, I, I don't know yet. It has. It hasn't come up.
So I'll make sure I write that down.
Also another thing that I didn't talk about is we have a JV team as well. So we have six JV games a season. We go up and play Dort. We've played Northwestern this year, we played Morningside and Briarcliff. So it just allows, you know, players to develop, gives players playing time. They're coming off the varsity.
You know they're struggling at the moment. They can play those JV games, but also gives players time to play rather than just waiting for those velocity spots to open up.
So we're looking at a roster for next year of about 42.
Just I do also know that we're, we're planning to head out to presentation when they do the Teachout conference or the Teachout Expo. So I'm going to be traveling up there. So if you guys have any questions then you can ask me as well and we can chat in person. I know it's not the best when you guys can't, you know, when I can't see you and so typed.
So yeah, that that'll be happening too soon.
Are you guys doing anything over the spring or are you have you guys kind of finished?
Are you guys just lifting at the moment?
Justin McClurg
04:49:00 PM
Awesome that is good to know. This spring is optional lifting and training but most of us are still doing it and some extra
Cool. That's good. I'm glad that John LA's keeping you guys going.
And then obviously, I know Justin, you're from Australia and then Jibril, you're from England.
I had the list here somewhere.
Sorry, just bringing it up real quick and then call Kyle here from Kelly.
Oh, any international issues? Obviously coming from New Zealand I know a little bit more about able to help you out with stuff, set you up everything like that. When it comes to I 20s and then the team it's it's pretty diverse. We've got guys from all over the states, you know, Kelly, Colorado, some from South Dakota and then we've got boys from Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil, Spain.
Yeah, a few, a few different places, like a lot of other GPAC teams, um. So it's a good community and people come in and it's very close, which I'm sure it's the same output presentation, but it's one of the better parts about it is you have that community here.
Do you guys have any other questions? You know, things that have come up or things you're unsure about?
Matias Rocha
04:51:06 PM
do you know how much would cost the rent of campus?
It'll be around, it's like $9000 for a meal plan, but we you wouldn't pay that in my mind or you'd still pay what you were paying at presentation.
If you were to live off campus, the cost of rent around Yankton is around 505, like between 500 and $600.00. Obviously if you live together then it would cut in half. We've got a few players that live off campus and there's a right behind the field house, there's an apartment, we've got four players living and coach. He lives there as well. So it's it's really close. It's walkable to to the school, but I believe.
What they're trying to do is have you pay the same amount.
That you're paying the presentation so.
It wouldn't, yeah. So even though it's tuition, you'd be still paying tuition and meal cost sort of thing.
That that you were a presentation.
Justin McClurg
04:52:20 PM
Thanks again, that's all from us as of now. We will email you if we come across any other questions.
Yeah, please do so. There is the please do e-mail me if you have any questions. I'm happy to call as well or set up a a FaceTime however you want to do it if you've got more questions or if your parents have questions.
Matias Rocha
04:52:42 PM
thanks for your time !
And then on our website at the top so if I screen share.
I think while Justin and Matthias has done it, but there's a place to apply for your presentation student and just get that process starting. I'll try to keep in contact with you guys as much as I can and if anything new comes up I'll let you know. And then Justin, I'll find out about the the hassing stuff. I don't think it should be an issue if it's just going towards what you were paying before, but if you move off campus then it might remove that scholarship. I'll double check with everything, but please feel free to reach out and you guys enjoy the rest of your Thursday.
Uh yeah. Please let me know if you need anything else. Cheers boys. Appreciate it.
